  ChatGPT  by OpenAI is a language model-based chatbot. It uses generative pre-trained transformer technology which is a part of the large language model (LLM) in machine learning. It means that the artificial intelligence trains itself using language entries provided by developers and users. The version I will be presenting is ChatGPT 3.5. Although ChatGPT can be used for a near-infinite number of reasons, it can also be utilized as a tool in EFL and ESL writing. To use this tool, the user simply needs to provide prompts for the tool. More simply, write on the chatbox about anything. Then, the language model will generate a response to your sentence and the conversation will go on. When it comes to how someone can utilize this tool for a specific purpose as EFL/ESL writing, ChatGPT can be used for a variety of purposes such as providing random prompts, giving feedback, correcting, providing vocabulary, engaging in an academic debate conversation with students, and many other things.  Today I am going to talk about using Instagram as a writing tool in English classes. As we all know, Instagram is a Web 2.0 application that allows users to interact with each other based on photos. But I think we can look at Instagram as a writing tool.  Teachers can open a class account, which will be run by them, and ask students to do some writing tasks. For example, I have created a class account on Instagram and shared 3 photos. Teachers can post photos and ask students what they think and feel, and ask them to write a paragraph or key points about it in the comments. Other than that, it can also be used for essay or paragraph planning. On this account, students can give peer feedback to each other by replying to each other's comments. The teacher can also give feedback on this platform too.  One thing that might be bad is that since there is a word limit on comments, students will not be able to write full essays.   Lit2Go  is an online literacy platform created by Florida Center for Instructional Technology to promote the availability of reading materials in education. Although the tool does not have complex tools such as assignment creation and sharing tools related to the material presented, the good thing about this website is that it includes authentic reading sources and audio  files with for all of the reading materials.  To use the website is extremely simple, there are no log in or sign up processes. One only has to click on the website and look for the suitable reading material from the catalogue. These materials are listed through authors, categories, genres and reading grade. One can access the audio and the text on the website or download them if the instructor wants so.  ReadWorks is a free online reading tool that consists of different level readings, considering proficiency age, and activities. When first entering the site, you need to create an account. After creating your account, the tool will ask for your specifications: When you are done with telling the site about your role and school, you can open a class and invite your students. You can create a class from the site, or import it from google classrooms. After creating a class, you can choose from a wide range of readings, packaged up to make it weekly. Busuu is an online language learning tool which provides better learning for the language learners. Especially, it can be used for beginners to learn the basics of the language. Busuu also provides short videos in it's teaching exercises that it can be beneficial for visual learners. There are also multiple language selection option that you can both learn English and French at the same time. Also, it has an interactive learning system as well.
